Reita Faria was born on August 23, 1943 in British India (now India). She is best known as the first Asian woman to win the Miss World title in 1966. Faria studied at the Grant Medical College & Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals in Mumbai and later pursued a career in medicine as a doctor.
After winning the Miss World crown, Faria became a prominent figure in the fashion and modeling industry. She also appeared in several films and television shows in India.
Faria currently resides in Dublin, Ireland, where she works as a doctor specializing in family planning. She continues to be an inspiration to many women in India and around the world for her achievements in both the beauty pageant and medical fields.
